Arsenal have been dealt a potential transfer blow ahead of this summer.
The Gunners‘ transfer interests are likely to star with loan star Martin Odegaard this summer, but with Real Madrid appearing unlikely to sanction a permanent deal, Arsenal may be forced to look elsewhere to fill the creative void in their midfield.
Before Odegaard joined on loan and began to impress, it was reported that Aouar would remain on Arsenal’s shortlist ahead of the summer transfer window.
But if Aouar is the second option to Odegaard, there may be a problem thanks to Liverpool and a former Gunners midfielder.
Reports claim Liverpool are eyeing a deal for former Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey ahead of the summer and that the now Juventus midfielder could be made available.
That’s a boost for the Reds, but it could lead to a real blow for Arsenal as CalcioMercato report that should Ramsey depart this summer, Juventus could turn to Aouar as the Welshman’s replacement.
Aouar has impressed again for Lyron this season, scoring six and assisting four times in 26 appearances across all competitions, helping his side to third in the Ligue 1 table and within three points of leaders PSG.

That follows his nine goals and 10 assists across all competitions last year, a run of form that sparked Arsenal’s interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
Fast-forward a year and the Gunners will once again prioritise someone else in the summer with Odegaard the desired man, but should they miss out on the Norwegian and turn to Aouar, it might be too late and possibly thanks to a man they allowed to leave for absolutely nothing – Ramsey.
