Antonio Cassano believes Antonio Conte’s “only option” is taking the vacant Real Madrid job, despite being linked with Tottenham.
Conte left Inter Milan earlier in the week despite leading the Italian club to the Serie A title, after reportedly falling out with the club’s owners over plans to let some of his key players leave the San Siro in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The former Chelsea boss is now being linked with the vacant managerial role at Spurs, following Jose Mourinho‘s sacking last month.
However, former Inter and Real Madrid star Cassano has criticised Conte and believes his “only option” is the job at Real Madrid, which is now free following Zinedine Zidane‘s recent departure.

Speaking to Christian Vieri on BoBoTV, he said: “For me, [Antonio] Conte’s only option is Real Madrid.
“His time at Inter was positive with a good first year and with the Scudetto win in the second, playing in his way.
“Conte has always had problems after a few years at the clubs he has been at. I don’t think he could go to PSG because it is a team which does not have players for the style he wants to play, and they don’t have the same mentality as him.

Conte isn’t the only name being linked with the job at Spurs, with the likes of Brendan Rodgers, Mauricio Pochettino and Graham Potter also involved in speculation.
