Arsenal and Leeds United put on alert over PSG star ahead of summer transfer window

Arsenal and Premier League rivals Leeds United are waiting for a decision from Paris Saint-Germain star Julian Draxler over his future.

The German international has been linked with a move away from the French capital, with his current contract at the Parcs des Princes set to expire this summer.

Draxler has previously been linked with Arsenal and Leeds are also said to be admirers of the 27-year-old, who was the subject of interest last summer, but opted to stay put in France.

However, German broadcaster Sport1 report that Draxler has made his decision over what he is going to do next.

The German broadcaster do not report what the decision is but suggests that the attacking midfielder will make it known when his side’s participation in the Champions League ends this season.

Paris Saint-Germain are currently preparing for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie with Manchester City, which is set to take place on Wednesday.

PSG, who are managed by former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, made it to the final of the competition last season, only to lose to Bayern Munich.

But Pochettino and PSG will be hoping to go one better this season, with the former Spurs manager looking for his first Champions League trophy, having lost in the final with Tottenham against Liverpool in 2019.

Draxler will be hoping to end his season on a high too, having made 29 appearances so far for the Ligue 1 side, scoring four times.

However, Arsenal and Leeds will seemingly have to wait a little longer to see if he is ready for a new challenge, or if he is considering staying in France.
