Tottenham will fall short in their race for the top four with Chelsea finishing in the final Champions League spot.
That’s according to the latest predictions, with the Blues being backed to see off competition to qualify for the Champions League again next season.
Chelsea are currently on a run of 15 games unbeaten across all competitions with Thomas Tuchel still unbeaten since his arrival in late January.
And that’s why it’s no surprise to see them predicted to finish fourth by FootballWebPages, who use data and statistics to predict every score of every game between now and the end of the season.
Their predicted table puts Chelsea in fourth, finishing three points behind Leicester City in third and four ahead of Tottenham in fifth, who are being tipped to finish one point ahead of reigning champions Liverpool.
The prediction suggests Jose Mourinho‘s men will draw 1-1 with Leicester City on the final day of the season to ensure Europa League qualification, but ultimately, fall short of top four.
As things stand, Spurs are three points behind Chelsea in fourth and one point behind West Ham in fifth.
Outside the top four and top six race, Arsenal fans will be disappointed to learn they are predicted to finish in ninth place, six points behind Liverpool in sixth and five behind West Ham in seventh, which could be a Europa League spot, depending on who wins the FA Cup.
The Gunners are currently four points off seventh and six points off sixth.
Elsewhere, Manchester City are, as expected, predicted to win the league with Manchester United in second, 19 points behind.
The current bottom three are all predicted to go down despite Fulham fighting back in recent weeks and months.
In fact, the prediction suggests Newcastle United will finish seven points ahead of the Cottagers when all is said and done, joining West Brom and Sheffield United in slipping down to the Championship.
