Here’s all the news from around the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours.
£25m double transfer swoop nears
Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares are set to complete their respective moves from Anderlecht and Benfica to Arsenal in a £25m double swoop.
But whilst those deals are imminent, neither are expected to be first-team regulars straight away.
And the difference between these two signings and that of William Saliba is that it is easy to see their pathway into the first-team.
Lokonga will come in to compete alongside Thomas Partey, Joe Willock and Mohamed Elneny for a starting spot in midfield, while Tavares will serve as an understudy to Kieran Tierney and play matches when the Scottish international is unavailable, which given his troublesome injury record could be quite often.
Both are transfers made with a clear long-term plan in mind. Something that Saliba really could have benefited from if only he had been signed at the right time by the right people.
White to Arsenal
Some Arsenal fans are convinced that a deal is edging closer for Ben White.
Despite talk of Chelsea, Everton and Manchester City entering the race for the Brighton and Hove Albion defender, as reported by football.london last week, a deal for White to join the Gunners is all but complete and is expected to be finalised after Euro 2020.
With that said, Arsenal fans have found another reason to be quite confident of this £50m transfer.
As spotted on Reddit and Twitter, an Instagram post of White from football.london‘s Chris Wheatley has emerged with a three-word message that reads: “He’s coming home.”
This has, as one would expect, garnered a big response on social media.

Arsenal fans have been denied their Sergio Ramos transfer wish this summer.
And after Goal claimed that Arsenal had asked to be kept in the loop regarding any future talks about his future, there would have been some excitement about this rumour.
However, it has since been confirmed that Ramos has signed a two-year deal with Paris Saint-Germain, revealing the club’s ambitious project convinced him to join.
“I am very happy to join Paris Saint-Germain,” he told the PSG website. “This is a big change in my life, a new challenge and it’s a day I will never forget. I am very proud to be a part of this ambitious project, to be a part of this squad with so many great players.
“Paris Saint-Germain is a club that has already proven itself at the highest level. I want to continue to grow and improve at Paris and help the team to win as many trophies as possible.”
