Unai Emery has won another Europa League title.
The former Arsenal head coach led Spanish side Villarreal to their first ever Europa League trophy with a penalty shootout victory over Manchester United in Gdansk.
Emery’s success means that he has now won a total of four Europa League titles and reached five finals in his career.
The one blemish on his finals record remains with Arsenal when, in 2019, his Gunners side were thrashed 4-1 by Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea.
In fact, Villarreal’s triumph over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United means that Emery now stands alone as the record holder for most Europe Leagues won.
After the game fans and pundits were quick to compliment Emery on his success, on BT Sport Rio Ferdinand said: “Tactically I think Unai Emery got it spot on.
“Cavani thrives with space behind defenders, but they didn’t allow space behind today at all. Bruno was nullified, closed down at all times.
“There was no space for people like Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford to get in behind with their movement and anticipation. It was never there today. You have to give credit to Unai Emery for that, because tactically he got it spot on.”
But away from the celebrations of Emery’s ability to capture Europa League titles, some Arsenal fans on Twitter took the opportunity to bemoan recent standards at the Gunners.
With Arsenal not in a European competition this year some fans claimed that the club are ‘cursed’ or that it has ‘bad vibes’.
Here is a look at what some Arsenal fans have said about their club following Emery’s fourth Europa League title.

@Waggy_98 said: “Arsenal really are banter club aren’t we. Emery wins 3 in a row with Sevilla. Comes to Arsenal gets us embarrassed in Baku. Goes Villareal knocks us out and then wins it. I hate it here.”
@MrMarchie said: “Emery’s win tonight further emphasis the fact that Arsenal is cursed.”
And @Owzie_Mogs told Arsenal to “get that Unai Emery bloke in seems decent.”
