Arsenal linked with shock Everton transfer as Edu identifies centre-back signing

Here is the Arsenal morning digest for Monday, June 21.

Jonjoe Kenny links

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are considering Jonjoe Kenny as a right-back option this summer with Hector Bellerin wanting to leave the north London club.

football.london understands Bellerin would prefer a move away from the Gunners this summer and has been linked with a return to Spain.

If that should happen, then Mikel Arteta may need to scout the market for a new right-sided defender and Kenny is reportedly being considered.

The same report claims Arsenal are also interested in Tariq Lamptey and Zeki Celik.

Centre-back signing identified

Arsenal have offered a trial to Peruvian youngster Aron Sanchez.

The Peru Under-20 international plays for AD Cantolao in his country’s top division and is seen as a potential recruit for the Under-23s squad.

Sanchez was also named on the provisional list of players for Peru at the 2021 Copa America.

football.london revealed in April that Arsenal are looking at the South American market for potential new signings as they get to grips with the new Brexit regulations.
