Here is your Arsenal morning digest on Thursday, December 23.

Arsenal open to Vlahovic bid

Arsenal are reportedly willing to spend big money on the signing of Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic.

The Serbian has continued to turn in stunning performances for the Serie A outfit and as a result has drawn plenty of attention.

One of those who apparently hold an interest in Vlahovic is Arsenal and, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Gunners are ready to pay €80million (£68m) in an effort to take him to the Emirates Stadium.

However, there may be one problem and that is that Vlahovic would reportedly prefer to stay with Fiorentina until the summer and then make a decision on his future.

Arteta drops Aubameyang hint

Whilst Arsenal are keen to secure the services of Vlahovic, one man that he could replace is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabonese forward has been stripped of the Arsenal captaincy and faces an uncertain future at the Emirates Stadium.

Ahead of this weekend’s clash with Norwich, Mikel Arteta hinted that Aubameyang is far from having a certain place in the current squad.

He said: “We will go game by game and we will decide the squad as we get closer to the game.”

Eddie Nketiah on Gunners future

To continue the striker theme, Eddie Nketiah has said that he will give his all for the Gunners as long as he remains under contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Speaking after his Carabao Cup hat-trick against Sunderland, he said: “I’m just eager to play football. I’m here and under contract,” said Nketiah. ”As long as I play for Arsenal I’m going to give my all.”
