But there could be cause for optimism heading into 2021/22 after finishing the current campaign on a high with a 2-0 win over Brighton making it five straight Premier League wins.
The likes of Max Aarons, Martin Odegaard, Josh Doig and Emiliano Buendia are just some of the names tipped to move to the Emirates Stadium in the coming months.
There is also talk of Granit Xhaka, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi moving away from north London as well.
