Arsenal press conference LIVE: Mikel Arteta on Champions League, transfers, Tomiyasu and Everton

Mikel Arteta is set to face the press at London Colney ahead of Arsenal’s final game of the Premier League season against Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

It’s been a disappointing week for the Gunners who now have to hope for a miracle if they are to qualify for the Champions League, with Tottenham needing to lose to already relegated Norwich to give them any chance of securing fourth spot.

It’s a frustrating end to what has been a season filled with positives for Arsenal. Despite an impressive summer transfer window, change in culture and improvement in playing style, it seems they are going to fall just short.

A big reason for that is injuries. Going into the final game with Frank Lampard’s side the Gunners could be without Takehiro Tomiyasu, Ben White, Gabriel and Emile Smith Rowe, as well as long term absentees Kieran Tierney and Thomas Partey.

This is perhaps why they are keen to strengthen in the upcoming transfer market, where Edu is hopeful of adding a few names to bolster this young and promising squad.
