Here are your morning Arsenal headlines for Saturday, June 5.
Ryan deal not close
Arsenal are not close to pulling off a permanent deal for Mat Ryan.
Ryan recently said of a possible permanent move: “I’ve learnt so much in my experiences (at Arsenal) so far, all that’s being with a club like that, the resources, the personnel, the quality on the pitch, the enormity of the club on a global aspect … it was so cool to be a part of.
“I was very fortunate but at the same time I worked hard to get a couple of opportunities. I set a couple of little goals when I signed with the club, ticking them off one by one.
“I wanted to play games. It started with an unfortunate loss, had a draw after and then finally got a win.
“It was a great experience and I was really proud of how I did and really content with how I did, and I showed that I have the capability to play at a level like that.
“I look forward to seeing what that little period now means for me moving forward. At this level you’re always as good as your next games, not necessarily your last games.”
Arsenal may have already received a setback in their bid to sign Norwich City star Emiliano Buendia.
But the Argentine is back on the table for Arsenal, and it’s understood an offer of around £30million has already been made ahead of the summer transfer window.
And it is also reported Premier League rivals Aston Villa have made a very similar bid as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
Though, Sky Sports are now reporting that both teams have had their £30million bids rejected swiftly by Norwich City, who are said to want £40million, especially now that they have purchased the 20% sell-on fee clause from Getafe, the club they bought the midfielder from in 2018 for just over £1million.
The report claims, however, that Arsenal have already gone back in with a fresh bid for Buendia, thought to be worth around £35million as they seek to get closer to the Canaries’ valuation.
Norwich’s position has been strengthened after they secured promotion to the Premier League, meaning they can now afford to wait out to get the very most from their talented midfielder.
Bellerin eyed by Atleti
Hector Bellerin may yet get his opportunity to return to Spain this summer despite a recent setback in a potential Real Betis move.
Betis were linked with a move for Bellerin ahead of the summer transfer window, but recent reports have suggested they will not be able to find the money Arsenal are likely to want for the right-back.
Instead, it’s reported the Seville side will attempt to wait until towards the end of the transfer window to get the 26-year-old for a cheaper fee.

Though, they might need to move a little quicker if they do want to land Bellerin because fresh reports from Marca claim there is further interest in La Liga.
The report claims that La Liga champions Atletico Madrid are interested in a move for Bellerin as they look to strengthen the right side of defence.
Atleti currently have Kieran Tripper playing at right-back, though the England international has been linked with a move away this summer, with the likes of Manchester United interested.
If that happens, it is reported that Bellerin could become a key target for Atletico Madrid.
