Here’s all the news from around the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours.
Europa League opponents confirm injury blow
Slavia Prague are set to be without goalkeeper Ondrej Kolar for their Europa League tie with Arsenal.
The Czech side were drawn against the Gunners after beating Rangers 3-1 on aggregate in the previous round.
However, Slavia confirmed their stopper Kolar suffered a fractured skull following a horror challenge by Rangers’ Kemar Roofe in the second leg at Ibrox.
“It turns out there’s a small fracture,” said manager Jindrich Trpisovsky.
“We have a key player out for a long time. We’ll see how long he comes back. It’s unpleasant for the goalkeeper.”
New venture for former Arsenal defender
Emmanuel Eboue has launched his own football academy in his native Ivory Coast.
The ex-Arsenal right-back who spent seven years at the club between 2004 and 2011, hopes to use his experience at the highest level to help bring through the stars of the future in his homeland.
Having officially announced his retirement from football in October 2020, Eboue has since spent time working with the Galatasaray academy in Turkey.
“Now I have decided to return to my country to help my young guys,” he said.
“In the past week I have been recruiting across the country in lots of cities and thanks God went really well.”

Former Gunner described as ‘best iin the world’
The agent of former Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has been talking up the player, claiming he is among the best in the world in his position.
Martinez, who won the FA Cup with Arsenal last summer before moving to Aston Villa in a £20m deal has impressed this season, keeping 14 clean sheets in 27 appearances.
Speaking to Tutto Mercato Web, Gustavo Goni heaped praise on his client and claimed he would have been just good had he stayed at the Emirates.
“He’s proving to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
“Moving to Aston Villa was a success, it’s true, and he’s happy, but he’d have shone at any club including Arsenal!”
