Teams coming off their first Italian Serie A defeats of the season will meet on Thursday as Roma (3-0-1) hosts Udinese (2-1-1). Kick-off is at 2:45 p.m. ET from Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy. Roma is the -205 favorite (risk $205 to win $100) on the money line in the latest Roma vs. Udinese odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Italian Serie A picks for Roma vs. Udinese

Before you tune in to Thursday’s match, you need to see the Udinese vs. Roma picks from European soccer insider Martin Green. After working in the sports betting industry for several years, Green became a professional sports writer and handicapper and has covered the game worldwide. Since then, his European soccer picks have been spot-on. Green has generated over $36,000 for $100 bettors since the 2017-18 season, and he has his finger on the pulse of the game all over the globe.

For Roma vs. Udinese, Green is picking Roma to score over 1.5 goals at -170 odds. Over the last four games between these squads, Roma has scored a total of eight goals or an average of two per game. Roma has been even more proficient in recent home games as it has averaged 2.33 goals over its last six games against Udinese inside Stadio Olimpico.

Roma’s 11 goals for this season are the second-most in Serie A despite it playing one fewer game than many teams. Roma has scored at least two goals in every league game, and it has eclipsed 1.5 goals in nine straight overall games dating back to last season. Even in its lone loss to Hellas Verona, Roma scored twice so offense is never a problem for José Mourinho’s squad.

As for Udinese, it got walloped by a 4-0 margin on Monday by Napoli. Udinese will now have a quick turnaround for Thursday’s game as the team will have one fewer day of rest as Roma played on Sunday. That combined with Roma historically having no trouble finding the back of the net vs. Udinese has Green foreseeing two goals, at a minimum, for Roma.

“That [Napoli] result could take the wind out of Udinese’s sails,” Green told SportsLine. “It had enjoyed a strong start to the season, but the players may be a little dejected after that defeat.

“Udinese has also had less time in which to rest than Roma, which puts it at a disadvantage for this game.”
