Hector Bellerin’s Arsenal career has stalled in recent years and a move away from the Emirates looks to be on the cards this summer.
The Spaniard was a revelation when he broke onto the scene midway through the 2014/15 season, replacing the injured Mathieu Debuchy and then keeping his spot when Debuchy returned.
Things were looking good when Unai Emery took over as Arsenal manager in 2018 as Bellerin began life under his new boss with five assists in the opening half of the season, before a cruciate ligament rupture against Chelsea in January 2019.
Fast forward two and a half years and Bellerin has never quite got back to his best, losing some of his scintillating speed and struggling to offer consistent crossing down the right flank.
With two years left on his deal at Arsenal this summer looks to be the perfect opportunity for the 26-year-old to leave North London and all parties be satisfied.
Real Betis are interested in bringing Bellerin back to his native Spain but football.london understands that the deal, while not impossible, could be complicated as Betis only want to loan him initially.
If a move to Los Verdiblancos fails to materialise, it’s thought that Bellerin could be involved in a swap deal for Atletico Madrid full-back Kieran Tripper, according to Marca.
The Spanish publication report that while Trippier is enjoying his time in the Spanish capital he lives alone as his family still reside in England.

This could mean a swap deal involving the two right-backs makes sense for all parties as Atletico’s sporting director Andrea Berta is keen on bringing Bellerin to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
Trippier enjoyed a stellar season in Madrid, providing six assists in 28 La Liga matches to help guide Atleti to their first league title since 2014.
