Barcelona star Miralem Pjanic fuels transfer talk with Instagram message amid Chelsea links

Reported Chelsea target Miralem Pjanic has fuelled transfer rumours linking him with a move to Stamford Bridge with his latest Instagram post.

Pjanic only joined Barcelona last summer from Juventus, but has suffered a slow start to life at the Camp Nou and has now got plenty of supporters talking with a recent social media post.

The 31-year-old only featured 19 times in La Liga for Barca throughout the 2020/21 season, who finished third in the Spanish top-flight after a frantic campaign on and off-the-pitch.

Now, taking to his Instagram page in a mini review of his debut season in Spain, Pjanic posted an image of himself, with a caption that included this: “Honour the shirt.

“Respect the team. Give everything on and off the pitch.

“This is what you deserve Barcelona. This is what I have done with my teammates from day one.

“This season leaves me with a bitter taste & questions that still need answers.”

Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Chelsea are in direct competition with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich for the Bosnian midfielder’s signature.

The same Spanish outlet is also claiming that all three clubs have made enquiries about Pjanic ahead of the summer transfer window.

It is also stated that before making a definitive decision on his future, the former Juventus man will wait and see whether Ronald Koeman remains in charge.

Fellow Spanish outlet, Sport, are suggesting that Chelsea are considering making a swap offer for Pjanic, with midfielder Jorginho going the other way in exchange.

This is despite the Italian finishing the 2020/21 season as the club’s top goal scorer in the Premier League – with seven to his name.

Jorginho was heavily linked with a move away from the west London club last summer under Frank Lampard.
