Brentford vs Everton player ratings: Ivan Toney steals the show as the Bees end home hoodoo

Alvaro Fernandez

A much better performance from the Spaniard, despite albeit some questionable distribution. A clean sheet would have done his confidence the world of good. 7

Charlie Goode

Like Fernandez, Goode has had plenty of critics. However, he stepped up to the plate incredibly and looked much assured than he has done recently.. 7

Pontus Jansson

A good performance by the skipper and marshalled the back line brilliantly to preserve Brentford’s clean sheet. 7

Ethan Pinnock

Made some important challenges and interceptions. 7

Sergi Canos

Was very keen to get forward, but has had better days. 6

Frank Onyeka

The Nigerian took a nasty whack in the face which led to Brentford’s penalty, and he was brilliant again today. 7

Christian Nørgaard

Another dominant performance in midfield from the Dane. More importantly, he avoided the yellow card that would have ruled him out for the trip to Spurs. 7

Vitaly Janelt

The German was superb and had to clear away some teasing crosses into the penalty area. Wonderful as ever. 7

Rico Henry

Another accomplished performance from the left-back. Dealt with Coleman very well and looked good going forward. 7

Bryan Mbeumo

Industrious as ever, the Frenchman almost got onto the scoresheet but saw a cross quickly retrieved by Pickford. 7

Ivan Toney

Would have been delighted to get his first league goal at home, and his all-round play was superb again today. 8

Subs:

Shandon Baptiste

Got some important minutes under his belt and looked at home in central midfield. 5

Mads Roerslev

Dealt with Anthony Gordon firmly and looked assured. 5

Yoane Wissa

Great to see the Congo international back after eight weeks, and he almost ensured a heroic return with a goal but saw his effort blocked. 5
