Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma has hinted that his future may lie away from the club amid links to Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United among others.

The 24-year-old looks set to be one of the most sought-after players in the Premier League this summer, especially if Brighton are relegated to the Championship – though they are currently seven points clear of the drop zone with five games remaining.

A number of clubs have been linked to the Mali international, with Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa recently stating that he is a “great player” after working with him during his time at Lille.

Speculation is rife about his future, and Bissouma has hinted that a decision will be made this summer after stating that he is focusing only on his Brighton career “for the moment”.

“I don’t have much to say about that [transfer speculation] because I’m at Brighton for the moment,” Bissouma said.

“I consider myself a Brighton player, so the most important thing right now, as I said, is to stay up.

“We’ll try and stay up, and God willing, we’ll see how things go next season.”

Bissouma joined Brighton from Lille in 2018 for a fee of around £15million and has impressed during his time in the Premier League, with various sources stating that the club would be looking for a fee of around £40million if they were to sell this summer.

Arsenal could have a gap to fill in central midfield this summer, with Dani Ceballos’ loan from Real Madrid set to end and no clear indication whether the Spanish star will be staying permanently after two years in North London.
