Arsenal and Mikel Arteta have been handed a huge boost ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Liverpool.
Wonderkid Bukayo Saka is back in full training.
The teenager emerged as a doubt for the visit of Jurgen Klopp’s side after being forced to withdraw from the England squad for their World Cup qualification triple-header during the international break.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Thursday morning, Arteta delivered an update on Saka.
“He hasn’t trained with the team yet,” he said. “He’s been doing some individual work. We had to pull him out of the squad. He’s feeling better but hasn’t trained with the team yet.”
As mentioned earlier, Saka has been training individually in recent days.
But the 19-year-old has taken a major step towards being available for selection once again as on Friday he was involved in a session alongside his teammates.
Ahead of the game in north London, Saka was put through his paces at the club’s London Colney training base.
One would assume that as long as he doesn’t suffer a setback following the session, he will be in contention to start against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium.

Also taking part in the session was the likes of Martin Odegaard, Hector Bellerin, Alexandre Lacazette, and Nicolas Pepe which means Arteta has a near full-strength squad.
The one notable omission was Emile Smith Rowe, after the attacking midfielder reported back from international duty with the England Under-21’s injured.
As such, it would appear that the 20-year-old is set to be unavailable for selection.
