Canada vs. Jamaica odds, picks, how to watch, live stream: 2022 World Cup qualifier predictions for Oct. 10

Canada hasn’t qualified for the World Cup since 1986, but it has positioned itself well on the 2022 Road to Qatar in the Concacaf qualifiers. The Canadians, third in the Concacaf table, have a golden opportunity to pick up three more points as they travel to take on Jamaica in a 2022 Concacaf World Cup Qualifier on Sunday. The Reggae Boyz have a talented squad, but haven’t played well in qualifiers, entering this matchup in last place with just one point. With manageable matchups against El Salvador and Honduras on the horizon, Jamaica could get back in the mix quickly, however, especially if it can pick up at least a point in this matchup.

Independence Park in Kingston, Jamaica, will host this 6 p.m. ET kick-off. The latest Jamaica vs. Canada odds from Caesars Sportsbook list the Canadians as -105 favorites (risk $105 to win $100) on the 90-minute money line. Jamaica is the +320 underdog, while a draw brings back +188. The over-under for total goals is set at 1.5. Sunday’s match will be streamed live on Paramount+ with their must-have Premium plan.

Concacaf World Cup qualifying picks for Jamaica vs. Canada

Before you tune in to Sunday’s World Cup qualifiers, you need to see the Concacaf World Cup qualifier picks from soccer insider Roger Gonzalez. Gonzalez is an award-winning writer that has covered pro soccer from Europe to South America. Gonzalez started out his pro soccer writing career while in college at Virginia Tech, writing for Goal.com. He’s also covered the Copa America, Champions League, Copa Libertadores, and much more. Since 2015, he’s been the lead soccer writer for CBS Sports.

For Canada vs. Jamaica, Gonzalez predicts that both teams will score at least once, a wager that brings a plus-money return of +150.

Despite their inability to find the net against the USMNT, Gonzalez was still impressed with what he saw from the Jamaican attack in that matchup earlier this week, saying “they came very close to scoring.”

Shamar Nicholson, who plays professionally for Charleroi in Belgium, is the top scoring threat for Jamaica. He has 10 career goals in 26 international appearances for the Reggae Boyz.

Canada, meanwhile, has found the back of the net in six straight matches and has plenty of scoring options. Jonathan Osorio scored Canada’s equalizing goal in a draw against Mexico the last time out. Cyle Larin, who has 20 career international goals, could be cleared to play after missing the last game with what was deemed a minor undisclosed injury.
