Chelsea are willing to trade two first-team players in order to win the race to sign Juventus forward Paulo Dybala.

The 27-year-old has several European clubs monitoring his situation ahead of the summer transfer window.

Indeed, with his current deal at the Old Lady set to expire at the end of the 2021/2022 season, the Blues are set to face competition from the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid in any would-be pursuit.

Valued by renowned football website Transfermarkt at £54million, the left-footed Argentine star could be subject to a high-profile bidding war across Europe.

However, according to reports, Chelsea also have two trump cards which they are willing to sacrifice.

As per Tuttosport via Italian publication Calciomercato, key figures responsible for transfers at Stamford Bridge are ready to offer Emerson and Jorginho as make-weights in any potential move for Dybala with the Serie A giants.

Juventus have previously been linked with both players, who have been used to varied degrees by Thomas Tuchel since the German head coach stepped into the Chelsea dugout towards the end of January.

In comparison to Dybala’s current market value, the duo are said to be worth £54million combined.

However, midfielder Jorginho does have an additional 12 months left to run on his existing deal, while Emerson and Dybala are out of contract in the summer of 2022.

Jorginho has been utilised much more regularly than Emerson since arriving from Serie A side Napoli in 2018 – for a fee around the £57million mark.

However, at 29-years-old, this is not the first time he has been linked with a move back to Italy.

Juventus, though, remain hopeful of agreeing fresh terms with Dybala, who has scored 71 goals in 138 Serie A starts off the back of a big-money in 2016.
