Chelsea eyeing £41m Barcelona star as Wesley Fofana continues to be linked with Blues

Ahead of the return of the Premier League this weekend, Thomas Tuchel has Chelsea very well positioned.

The Blues currently sit at the top of the table after 11 matches, with a three-point gap to nearest challengers Manchester City.

Meanwhile, the west Londoners also look likely to reach the knockout rounds of the Champions League, whilst they have also secured a spot in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup as Tuchel aims to add to his haul of silverware at Stamford Bridge.

With the Blues involved in so many competitions, they need a considerably talented squad and if reports are to be believed, they are set to add even further to their options in the January transfer window.

With that being said, football.london takes a look at the latest rumours with the market set to reopen in just a number of weeks.

That deal expires in the summer of 2023, with the 17-year-old previously reported to have been in discussions over a new contract, although that is yet to be formally announced.
