Deadline day is less than two weeks away and supporters are still hopeful that Thomas Tuchel will add to his already talented squad with a few more shrewd signings.
The Blues have already purchased Marcus Bettinelli and club-record signing, Romelu Lukaku, so far this summer, but are still linked with moves for Saul Niguez, Jude Bellingham, Jules Kounde and Aurelien Tchouameni.
Chelsea haven’t made an official offer for any of those additional targets just yet, but news yesterday hinted that progress was being made for a possible Saul loan deal ahead of the August 31 deadline.
In terms of outgoings, Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi completed moves away from the club on Tuesday while Kenedy finalised his Flamengo loan move on Wednesday. Emerson Palmieri’s season-long loan to Lyon was also announced on Thursday evening.
