Boost in Tchouameni pursuit

The latest developments surrounding Real Madrid has potentially put Chelsea in the driving seat for Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni’s signature.

Whilst Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is keen on the France international, Marca have reported that the Spanish giants will focus all their attention on strengthening their attack in the summer as opposed to pursuing a squad overhaul.

The likes of Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland will therefore likely be Los Blancos’ priority in the upcoming window.

Chelsea are long term admirers of Tchouameni and are likely to move for the 22-year-old once this season finishes.

David’s chance to impress

Chelsea take on LOSC Lille today in a bid to retain their Champions League crown.

The Blues go into the game on a high following their victory against Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace, courtesy of Hakim Ziyech’s 89th-minute winner.

Their opponents on the other hand suffered a hammer blow in their pursuit of a European finish, following a stalemate at home to 19th place FC Metz.

Star forward Jonathan David has been in fine form for the French club and is currently on twelve goals in Ligue one this season, which is just two short of top scorer Wissam Ben Yedder.

The west Londoners have been linked previously with a move for David and tonight, Thomas Tuchel will have a great opportunity to take a closer look at one of Europe’s most highly-rated forwards.

Chelsea loanees Billy Gilmour, Conor Gallagher and Armando Broja have all impressed in the Premier League for their retrospective clubs and Everton manager Frank Lampard is reportedly keen on each individual.
