Chelsea face battle in Haaland chase

Manchester United may have the upper hand in the pursuit for Erling Haaland as the two club battle for the Nroweigian’s signature.

The free-scoring Borussia Dortmund striker has been suggest to huge speculation over his future with the Premier League giants both keen.

However, the Blues find themselves at something of a disadvantage in the chase currently as United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has previously worked with the player before at Molde.

“When you have had kids and players through as a coach, you follow them and I keep in touch with Erling,” he said .

“It’s great to see him become the player he has become and [how] he works to improve all the time. He’s a Dortmund player – we just wish him well there and let’s see what life will bring later on.

Chelsea star suffers injury blow on international duty

N’Golo Kante has returned to Chelsea from the France camp having picked up a hamstring injury as the world champions drew 1-1 with Ukraine.

Despite playing the full 90 minutes of the draw, Kante’s injury was discovered post-match.

Although the injury is not thought to be major, France are not taking a chance for their matches against Kazakhstan and Bosnia this week.

Thomas Tuchel will hope the midfielder is back to full fitness by Chelsea’s next Premier League fixture against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, April 3

Mount even managed an assist for Raheem Sterling before being withdrawn at the break.

“Mason Mount in the first half was excellent and set the tone,” said the England manager afterwards.
