Thomas Tuchel has made two changes to his Chelsea team to take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium as the Blues aim to cement their place at the top of the Premier League.

Trevoh Chalobah and Mason Mount both return to the starting eleven having missed out against Burnley before the international break.

Making way from that team is Ross Barkley and Andreas Christensen, who both drop to the bench for the Saturday lunchtime kick off.

Thiago Silva starts at centre back despite Tuchel being wary of his travelling during the international break and he partners Antonio Rudiger and Chalobah in the usual centre back trio.

Silva’s inclusion might be seen as a surprise especially with games against Juventus and Manchester United on the horizon.

Reece James and Ben Chilwell continue as the wing-backs as expected in front of Edouard Mendy, who starts in goal.

In midfield, N’Golo Kante and Jorginho make up the midfield pivot for Tuchel’s side.

The front three now includes Mount, who was a substitute against Burnley and is back at full fitness having undergone dental surgery. Callum Hudson-Odoi and Kai Havertz make up the remainder of the front three.

The Blues head coach said of Mount’s possible inclusion at his pre-match press conference on Friday: “I’m confident that Mason is back in training, looking hungry, fresh and in a good spirits but we need to evaluate.

“He did this week’s training sessions, looks good but we need to see if he can start, if he can play 90 minutes.”

Chelsea: Mendy; James, Chalobah, Silva, Rudiger, Chilwell; Jorginho, Kante; Hudson-Odoi, Mount, Havertz.
