The transfer window is fast approaching.
Chelsea are typically big spenders, and they may need to further strengthen their squad in January if something worthwhile presents itself in the market.
Equally, there may be opportunity for some players to leave in the near future.
CHELSEA NEWS: All the latest news from Stamford Bridge as it happens here.
The likes of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen are out of contract at the end of the season, whilst some others have been linked with moves away.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the latest rumours out there.
Steve Sidwell has inadvertently revealed Conor Gallagher’s plans when it comes to sorting out his long-term Chelsea future.
Amid links to Newcastle, coupled with the midfielder in question picking up his first England cap against San Marino during the November international break, the 21-year-old’s recent interview with Rio Ferdinand has provided some more clarity regarding the future of the current Crystal Palace star.
Sidwell informed Football JOE of his discussions with the Man Utd legend: “Rio [Ferdinand] had done an interview with Gallagher, and Rio told me that after the interview Gallagher told him that “when you present the interview, make sure to state that I want to go back to Chelsea, that I’m not in the shop window.”
This revelation will delight Marina Granovskaia but especially Thomas Tuchel after he was waxing lyrical of the Blues loanee in his pre-match Leicester press conference.

A report from the Spanish outlet has reiterated Roman Abramovich’s ‘interest’ in prising away the youngster from the financially stricken Catalan giants.
Despite the interest shown by the Blues and their reported willingness to pay the fee needed to sign the Spain international, the newspaper states ‘Gavi doesn’t want to go’. They further add ‘let no one worry. Gavi is not stupid and knows his future is at Barca’.
It’s said the report about the Champions League winners wanting the teenager will ‘help him get a better renewal’, which is possibly the whole point of the rumour in the first place.
The fact that both parties want a resolution that will only benefit the Spanish side means that the west Londoners may have close to zero chance of making this deal a possibility.

The Frecnh outlet have claimed that Paris Saint Germain have now opened talks to bring Antonio Rudiger to the Parc des Pricess next summer, as they’re in touch with the player’s agent.
It’s claimed that ‘discussions are already underway’ between the Parisian side and Sahr Senesie, who represents the defender in the talks.
Foot Mercato takes claims from elsewhere to point out that other clubs such as Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have been interested in Rudiger as well, although they’ve only got information on PSG’s latest moves.
football.london understands that no movement on Chelsea’s side has happened yet in response to the defender rejecting the fresh £140,000 a week contract offer as he holds out for closer to £200,000.
