Conor McGregor sends warning to Chelsea amid Roman Abramovich takeover talk with Man Utd message

Conor McGregor has confirmed that he’s serious about taking over Chelsea and he believes he’s the ‘perfect’ man to replace Roman Abramovich.

Abramovich has been forced to put the club up for sale due to the fallout from Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

Prospective buyers are now preparing their offers, and surprisingly, McGregor has confirmed that he’s serious about taking over a football club.

He even admitted that he’s tried to pursue Celtic and Manchester United over the past few months, and now he has Chelsea in his sights.

“I do not speak in jest,” McGregor tweeted on Sunday.

“I am exploring this, as I said. Celtic from Dermot Desmond, Manchester United from the Glazers, and now the recently up for sale Chelsea football club. All being explored.

“A football franchise purchase is in my future make no mistake about it.”

The Irishman has tweeted again since, and has hinted that he’s the right man for the job because he’s already achieved so much at the top of an elite level sport.

“Everyday I ball. How wouldn’t I lead a team of young, dedicated athletes to glory. I’m perfect for the job.

“Pray it’s your team.”

Chelsea fans will justifiably be wondering whether his pursuit of the club is actually genuine and perhaps only time will tell.
