Vicente Guaita: Beaten by a long-range effort but saw it come back off the post. Caught one other high ball before being replaced. 6

Nathaniel Clyne: A pretty calm 15 minutes from the right-back before going off. 6

Cheikhou Kouyate: Felt he was shoved but received no free-kick before Ipswich hit the post. Replaced on the 60′ minute mark. 6

James Tomkins: Like the rest of the defence replaced after the hour. 6

Tyrick Mitchell: Provided width that allowed Zaha to go central in the build up to the penalty. 6

Jairo Riedewald: Ball over the top for Zaha to win a penalty, and was subbed shortly after. 6

James McArthur: A nice little ball out to Hannam. Stopped a few Ipswich moves with tactical fouls. 6

Jeffrey Schlupp: Forced a good save with a flicked shot from a corner. A fantastic turn that allowed him to run into space and find Mateta to create another chance. 7

Jordan Ayew: Looked dangerous cutting in from the right, but no end product. 6

Jean-Philippe Mateta: Hit the bar with a flicked header in the opening minutes. Shortly after hit the post with a bit of a scuffed effort on his left foot. 6

Wilfried Zaha: Won his penalty with the pace and dynamism you expect, dispatched it as coolly as you would have hoped. 7

Subs

Jack Butland: Little to really trouble him. 5

Joel Ward: Put up a good battle with the hosts trying to attack down his flank. Almost gave the ball away with a poor touch, but recovered well with a tackle. 5

Martin Kelly: Kept it simple on the ball. Prevented any real chances of note. 6

Marc Guehi: Good header under pressure to clear while being fouled. Calm on the ball, keeping it simple. Managed to get his head on a cross at the other end but couldn’t direct it on target. 6

Reece Hannam: Got forward but saw a cross blocked early. Made a couple of decent tackles. 6

Luka Milivojevic: Calm in possession alongside Malachi Boateng in the middle. Gave away a late free-kick in a dangerous area. 6

Jack Wells-Morrison: Plenty of effort and intensity as the team looked to build on Zaha’s goal. 6

Rob Street: A decent outing, forced some pressure on the back line with his willingness to run in behind. 6

Scott Banks: A decent run out, but hard to stand out with the game lacking a bit of structure. 6

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi: Looked fairly lively while trying to make an impact on the right. A powerful driven effort was pushed behind for a corner. 7

Malachi Boateng: Decent in midfield, not making too much of an impact. 6
