Crystal Palace press conference LIVE: Patrick Vieira on Leeds, Conor Gallagher, referee and more

Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira will be speaking to the media shortly following his side’s goalless draw with Leeds United at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles started the game much better than they had done a week earlier at Newcastle and forced some good openings through Jean-Philippe Mateta. The Frenchman was picked out twice in quick succession, first seeing a chipped effort cleared before Jordan Ayew’s ball into the box was diverted from him by Diego Llorente.

Palace turned the screw in the second half but lacked the killer final ball to see them over the line. The Eagles peppered Illan Meslier’s goal with 11 shots, though few caused the Frenchman too much trouble. Conor Gallagher and Wilfried Zaha both had several attempts kept out towards the end of the game, which saw Leeds hold on well despite the mounting Palace pressure.

Match referee Darren England was not a popular man at the full-time whistle, with Palace on the end of some decisions that left Vieira visibly frustrated both during and after the game. Both England and his officials were booed down the Selhurst Park tunnel as a result.

Scroll down to see the immediate reaction to tonight’s result from Vieira, with Eagles correspondent Mark Wyatt among those putting questions to the Palace boss.
