Eddie Nketiah’s brilliant Arsenal response after what happened with N’Golo Kante vs Chelsea

Eddie Nketiah has sent a hilarious response on social media after a video emerged of him escaping from N’Golo Kante on Sunday afternoon.

Arsenal faced off with Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday as the Mind Series of friendlies got underway.

Mikel Arteta’s men were unfortunately on the losing side on the day, goals from Hakim Ziyech and Tammy Abraham securing victory for the Blues despite Granit Xhaka managing to find the scoresheet for the hosts.

It stretches Arsenal’s winless run to three games in pre-season having also been defeated by Scottish outfit Hibernian and earned a draw with champions Rangers.

Despite the loss, Nketiah still allowed himself to have some fun following the game.

A video was shared from the match showing the 22-year-old running at Chelsea midfielder Kante just outside of the box, before producing a quick but effective right-footed fake shot in an effort to manufacture some room.

That is exactly what happened as two time Premier League winner Kante was left stretching and then sprawling on the floor in an effort to block Nketiah’s expected shot.

If that wasn’t enough, the Arsenal youngster then took things one step further as he retweeted the video alongside a gif of former Gunners hero Thierry Henry physically cringing during a press conference in the midst of his spell as head coach of former club AS Monaco.

It goes without saying that Kante will certainly be aiming to get a little bit of revenge on Nketiah as the two sides renew rivalries in the Premier League.

Arsenal again face off with Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday, August 22.
