Arsenal complete wonderkid signing
Arsenal have completed the signing of former Chelsea youngster Amani Richards, the attacker has announced on his Instagram page.
The London-born forward, who is only 16-years-old, recently left the Blues’ academy set-up and has now revealed in a social media video that he has joined the Gunners.
On joining the north London outfit, Richards said: “Signing for Arsenal, my boyhood club, it’s just a great thing. It’s a club that everyone in my family supports. Everyone around me supports Arsenal.
“I mean I always wanted it to happen eventually, but it happening now is just a great thing.
“I’m just really, really excited to get going.”
Arsenal have yet to comment on Richards’ social media post or confirm his arrival at the Emirates Stadium.
Odegaard hints at Gunners stay
The summer transfer window is poised to be a big one for Arsenal and head coach Mikel Arteta as the club looks to try and turn itself back into a genuine top-four challenger ahead of next season.
The Gunners drafted in three new signings during January, including the addition of Real Madrid loanee Martin Odegaard, who has already proven to be a big hit with the Arsenal supporters, especially after scoring a stunning effort in Thursday evening’s 3-1 win over Benfica in the UEFA Europa League.
Although Madrid have already made it clear that they want make the most of Odegaard’s talents themselves next season, the Norway international has hinted that he would like to turn his temporary switch to the Emirates Stadium into a permanent one.
He said: “I said many times that I’ve been looking for stability (in same club), but haven’t found it.
“I think it’ll be important to find stability. I’m very happy at Arsenal, enjoying myself. I like it here. Now my focus is to finish the season, then we’ll see.”

Edouard has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium over the course of the last 12 months and the Gunners are still very keen on the prospect of landing his signature.
It is claimed that the club are keen to get a deal over the line for him when they do face the risk of losing Alexandre Lacazette this summer.
The Frenchman has closely been linked with moves to both Barcelona and Roma in recent weeks.
