Following the confirmation of three departures from the Emirates Stadium yesterday, Arsenal will be looking to seal a fourth in the coming days.

Gunners youngsters Zech Medley, Mark McGuiness and Trae Coyle were all confirmed to have left Arsenal, joining KV Oostende, Cardiff City and Lausanne-Sport respectively.

Those deals are just the start of what is set to be a busy summer for Arsenal and the club’s technical director Edu.

The Brazilian could meanwhile be close to sealing another departure soon, this time in the case of French midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.

The 22-year-old fell out of favour in North London and following a rollercoaster loan spell with Hertha BSC, is expected to depart permanently.

Ligue 1 outfit Marseille have already been linked with his signature and have now reportedly been joined in pursuit of the midfielder by Portuguese giants Benfica.

According to O Jogo, as Aguias hold a long standing interest in Guendouzi and are hoping to negotiate an initial loan deal followed by an automatic buy obligation.

It remains to be seen whether that would be a deal that Arsenal would accept but with just one year remaining on his deal, the Gunners need to sell sooner rather than later if the Frenchman does not have a future with the club.

The summer window is officially open, and it’s going to be tough to keep up with the comings and goings in and out of the Emirates.

The speculation surrounding the former Paris Saint-Germain youth prospect comes amid Arsenal working to complete their own midfield arrival.

Anderlecht’s Albert Sambi Lokonga has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners had their opening bid for the Belgian rejected but football.london understands that there is optimism that a deal can be done.
