The future of football as we know it has been dealt a bombshell following reports that Premier League clubs are willing to join the revolutionary European Super League.

According to Mail Online, the ‘big six’ in England have already signed letters of intent with a view to becoming part of the controversial breakaway.

Under the reform, around 15-18 of the most high-profile clubs in European would take part, including La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid.

London sides Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are set to be joined by Liverpool, Manchester United and champions elect Manchester City in confirming their stance on the proposals.

A declaration is set to be made later tonight, although UEFA have already issued a statement in stark protest to the reform, suggesting they will take legal action if the ‘cynical’ plans are passed.
