Franck Kessie, Lorenzo Insigne, Dusan Vlahovic: Arsenal transfer rumours ahead of January window

We are now less than two months away from the January transfer window.

Given Arsenal will lose the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nicolas Pepe and Thomas Partey to the Africa Cup of Nations in the new year, technical director Edu could look to bring in some fresh faces to deal with the congested fixture schedule in 2022.

A number of Gunners players also continue to have uncertain futures at the Emirates Stadium, with the likes of Eddie Nketiah, Alexandre Lacazette and Saed Kolasinac all linked to other clubs considering their contracts expire at the end of the current campaign.

With all that said, let’s take a look at some of the latest rumours surrounding the north London club.

What?

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has played down some reports from the Italian media that claim Arsenal are in negotiations with Fiorentina for centre-forward Vlahovic.

The transfer guru has claimed that whilst the Gunners are interested in the 21-year-old, they are not currently in talks with the Serbian’s agent.

Vlahovic, who is valued at £45million on Transfermarkt, would reportedly cost around €70/80m (£60m/£68.4m) in January despite having less than two years remaining on his contract with the Serie A side.

What?

Italian transfer guru Giordana has rubbished any talk of Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne joining Arsenal, claiming that a move to the Emirates Stadium is not realistic given their finances.

He told Radio Marte (via Area Napoli): “If I go away from Napoli, I do it only for a very high range, and Arsenal and Tottenham are not a part of it.”

Insigne, who is now 30-years-old, has been linked with a move to both north London clubs and his contract in Naples is set to expire next summer.

Who?

Franck Kessie

Where?

The Mirror

What?

AC Milan midfielder Kessie has less than eight months remaining on his deal at San Siro and appears unlikely to extend his stay with the Serie A giants.

Now, the Mirror have claimed that Arsenal, along with Manchester United, are interested in securing the Ivorian’s services given he could be available for a cut-price in the January transfer window.

Reports in Italy have claimed that the tough-tackling central-midfielder wants around €9m per year (around £146,000 per week), with the Rossoneri currently offering €6.5m (around £107,000) per week.
