Full Tottenham Hotspur squad revealed for NS Mura clash as Antonio Conte faces selection dilemma

Tottenham Hotspur will be targeting their third victory under new head coach Antonio Conte, with the Lilywhites potentially able to guarantee a top two finish in their Europa Conference League group tonight.

Spurs take the trip across Europe to Slovenia to face NS Mura, a side without a single point in group G.

The “Carno-belji” were on the receiving end of a 5-1 thrashing in the reverse fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Conte could look to put them to the sword once again.

The match will be the Italian’s fourth game at the helm since taking over from Nuno Espirito Santo.

The visitors will be without Cristian Romero, who the manager has said has a “serious” injury and will be assessed before a timeframe is given on his return.

On the defender, Conte said in the pre-match media conference: “About Cristian Romero, we’re waiting for another scan. Honestly, I think his injury is serious. We have to wait. I don’t know now the time he needs to recover.”

Midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is also ruled out of the game, whilst promising youngster Dane Scarlett is also missing due to an ankle problem.

On the pair, Conte added: “Surely his [Cristian Romero’s] injury is more serious than Giovani Lo Celso or Dane Scarlett.”

The head coach also has the dilemma of rotations, with former boss Nuno opting to leave some players at home when they travelled to Arnhem to face Vitesse last month.

On the players travelling, Conte said: “All the players available will come with us. They must be ready to play against Mura.

“I said on Sunday that I need to make rotation because there are players that are a bit tired because [they] played many games with the national team and also we worked a lot in the last two weeks. There are other players that need game time.”
