Full Tottenham squad revealed ahead of Aston Villa showdown amid Ben Davies update

Tottenham Hotspur will be desperate to get their Premier League season back on track as they face Aston Villa on Sunday.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men were the early frontrunners as they began the season with three consecutive victories. Since then however, Spurs have lost to Chelsea, Crystal Palace and were also swept aside by Arsenal in the North London Derby last weekend.

Despite their 5-1 victory against NS Mura in the Europa Conference League, Spurs really must look to correct their stuttering domestic form against Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Fortunately, the squad appears to be overcoming its concerning injury issues just in time for this weekend’s clash.

Steven Bergwijn and Ryan Sessegnon are those missing through injury – the former not expected to make his return until after the international break.

Elsewhere, defender Ben Davies was also left on the sidelines for the clash against NS Mura, with Nuno Espirito Santo stating that he had an inflammation on his appendix.

It remains to be seen quite when the Welshman will return to action but it appears unlikely that he will be included against Villa on Sunday. He has played just 30 minutes in the Premier League so far this season though, with Sergio Reguilon having been preferred at left-back.

With that in mind, here is the full Tottenham squad at the disposal of Nuno Espirito Santo for the game.

Goalkeepers: Hugo Lloris, Pierluigi Gollini.

Defenders: Matt Doherty, Sergio Reguilon, Cristian Romero, Davinson Sanchez, Emerson Royal, Joe Rodon, Eric Dier, Japhet Tanganga.

Midfielders: Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Harry Winks, Giovani Lo Celso, Dele Alli, Tanguy Ndombele, Oliver Skipp.

Forwards: Heung-min Son, Harry Kane, Bryan Gil, Lucas Moura, Jack Clarke, Dane Scarlett.
