Gareth Bale has shown Eden Hazard how to complete Chelsea return amid ‘transfer decision’

Eden Hazard has made a ‘transfer decision’.

According to a report by El Chiringuito TV in Spain, the forward has grown unhappy at Real Madrid and wants to seal a sensational return to Chelsea.

This comes less than two years after Hazard left the west London outfit to make the move to the Spanish capital.

Furthermore, the report claims that Real Madrid – who are looking to raise cash through player sales to fund a move for one of Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland – would be willing to accept offers in the region of €50m (£43.4m) for Hazard this summer.

Whether Blues head coach Thomas Tuchel and director Marina Granovskaia would be interested in a deal for Hazard remains to be seen.

But a number of Chelsea fans have already taken to social media and pleaded for this deal to happen.

With an estimated transfer value of €10-€15m as per the CIES Football Observatory – a powerful econometric approach to assess the transfer value of professional footballers on a scientific basis – spending over £40million on a player who has struggled with injuries might not be the best idea.

In addition, with the likes of Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Timo Werner all capable of playing out wide, it is hardly a priority position for the Blues.

However, the temptation to bring Hazard back to Stamford Bridge might be too difficult to resist.

If so and Chelsea don’t fancy paying a transfer fee this summer, they could take a leaf out of Gareth Bale’s book.

The Welshman sealed a return of his own last summer as he rejoined Tottenham from Real Madrid, but only on a season-long loan deal.

Los Blancos have shown in the past that they are willing to do loan deals with London clubs with Dani Ceballos and Martin Odegaard both spending time at Arsenal across the past two seasons.

And with Chelsea reportedly Hazard’s preference should he leave Real Madrid, a loan deal – perhaps with an option to buy – could be the perfect scenario.

Admittedly, there is the prospect that Hazard may not be the same player if he was to return to Stamford Bridge this summer, with injury issues stopping him from showing his best form at Madrid.
