Harry Kane netted the winner against Denmark to send England through to the final of Euro 2020 after he scored in extra time to secure a 2-1 victory.

Harry Kane stepped up to take a penalty in extra time after Manchester City frontman Raheem Sterling was adjudged to have been illegally brought down in the box in the 103rd minute.

The England captain then saw his spot-kick saved by Leicester shot-stopper Kasper Schmeichel before he turned the rebound into the empty Denmark goal to send England through to the final of Euro 2020, where they will face Roberto Mancini’s Italy, who beat Spain on penalties on Tuesday night.

Gareth Southgate’s side found themselves a goal behind after Sampdoria midfielder Mikkel Damsgaard opened the scoring after half an hour with a stunning long-range free-kick.

However, The Three Lions only trailed for nine minutes as Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka combined brilliantly with Kane down the right flank before the Gunners’ youngster fired in a perfectly weighted cross that was inadvertently turned into the net by Danish defender Simon Kjaer.

England then picked up some momentum in the second half but failed to find the target before the two sides were sent to extra time, where Kane eventually netted the winner after Sterling was awarded a contentious penalty.

Spurs and England fans took to social media to react to Kane’s iconic winner.

The late strike means that Southgate’s men will play their first final in a major tournament in 55 years, an incredible feat.

Furthermore, they will have home advantage for Italy as Sunday’s clash will be played at Wembley in front of around 60,000 fans.

The former Middlesbrough boss will have a selection headache ahead of the final given Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish was electric when he came off the bench for Gunners’ starlet Bukayo Saka in normal time.
