Hudson-Odoi starts, Chilwell over Alonso – The team Chelsea fans want to see vs Leicester

Chelsea face Leicester today in the Premier League’s lunchtime kick-off and Thomas Tuchel will be hoping to come away from the King Power Stadium with all three points.

The Blues have enjoyed a fantastic start to the season, winning eight of their opening eleven games and losing just once in that time to title rivals Manchester City.

Their form means that they sit top of the table on 26 points heading into today’s clash with the Foxes, three clear of City and West Ham.

Meanwhile, Leicester have struggled so far this season. Having won just four games in the league, Brendan Rodgers’ side currently occupy 12th place.

They’ll be wanting to improve on that position but their opponents aren’t going to roll over easily as Tuchel will be yearning for another victory to help extend the Blues’ lead at the top.

Nevertheless, Chelsea do have a few injury problems to contend with.

Mateo Kovacic stayed in London over the international break to work on his fitness but is set to be sidelined for a few more matches at least, whilst Romelu Lukaku still isn’t back training.

Timo Werner has been back in training and could be fit enough to make the bench, but positively, Mason Mount, who suffered pain from infected wisdom teeth earlier this month, should be available to play this afternoon.

With all that in mind, take a look at the team Chelsea fans want to see Tuchel field against the Foxes, as per football.london’s latest ‘Pick The Team’ widget.

Team Chelsea fans want to see vs Leicester (3-4-3): Edouard Mendy; Antonio Rudiger, Thiago Silva, Andreas Christensen; Reece James, Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Ben Chilwell; Callum Hudson-Odoi, Kai Havertz, Mason Mount.

Blues supporters want to see Callum Hudson-Odoi get the nod in attack, whilst Ben Chilwell keeps his place on the left-hand side following a string of solid performances in that position.

We don’t know how Tuchel’s going to line-up just yet, but he’ll trust that his starting XI can help deliver the goods.
