Chelsea submit Brozovic ‘request’

Chelsea have reportedly started their planning for the next transfer window by submitting a ‘request’ for information surrounding Marcelo Brozovic.

That is according to FcInterNews, who suggest that the Blues are interested in signing the Croatian midfielder, with his contract set to expire in the summer.

However, they are set to face competition from major European clubs including Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United.

Inter retain interest in Alonso

Sticking with Inter Milan, the reigning Serie A champions are apparently still interested in the services of Blues left-back Marcos Alonso.

The Italian giants were linked the Spaniard throughout the summer months but failed to secure a deal and he has gone on to become first choice under Thomas Tuchel.

Nevertheless, according to CalcioMercato, he is still being considered by Inter as a replacement for the outgoing Ivan Perisic.

They are also set to consider Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic, as well as Carlos Augusto of Monza.

Tuchel handed fixture headache

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has been handed a major headache due to the Blues’ run of fixtures in January.

The club are also set to compete in the Premier League and FA Cup, whilst they could also still be taking part in the Carabao Cup.

Reports have suggested that the fixture list could be worsened by the postponement of the FIFA Club World Cup, whilst the African Cup of Nations is also scheduled to go ahead during the month.
