Jorginho makes contract admission after Marina Granovskaia decides Chelsea’s next two deals

Jorginho has said now is not the time to think about signing a new Chelsea contract.

Prior to the Italy international’s error which led to the Blues losing 1-0 at home to Arsenal on Wednesday night, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that contracts are a hot topic at Stamford Bridge.

Firstly, Thiago Silva’s contract-extension clause will be triggered in the coming weeks and that is not the only decision Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia has made.

The report also states that contract negotiations with Jorginho and his midfield partner N’Golo Kante are set to commence in the coming months, but the club isn’t in any rush to open talks.

And whilst Jorginho is not in any rush to talk about a new deal, he has outlined his love for the Blues.

“Of course, of course I do feel settled,” Jorginho told the PA news agency. “When I came here, everything was different. But I felt welcome straight away.

“It feels great after three years, and I know everyone here appreciates what I try to do for the club and for the people. So it feels like home now in England.

“It’s definitely not the time to think about contracts with two finals to play!

“How could I want to leave the club? That’s not the point.

“It’s not the point even talking about it now.

“I’ve got two more years and like I said, I really feel at home here.
