Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Battle for £25m Juventus star, Vlahovic boost, Balogun eyed



1 Kulusevski spurs

Arsenal put themselves into the race for the top four on Saturday, following their 2-0 win over Newcastle United that saw them return to winning ways.

The Gunners had been thrashed 4-0 by Liverpool just a week before, but responded in perfect fashion with their victory over the struggling Magpies.

The win put Mikel Arteta’s side level on points with fourth place West Ham United, who lost to Manchester City on Sunday and occupy the final Champions League place.

One eye will be on the upcoming fixture against Manchester United on Thursday, who have slumped after their good start to the season.

However, the hierarchy will certainly have another eye on transfer proceedings, with the January window just over a month away.

So with that all being said, football.london takes a closer look at the latest rumours on all of Arsenal’s transfer dealings in January.

Arsenal and Tottenham frontrunners for Kulusevski

Both Arsenal and Tottenham are interested in Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski, reports Calciomercato.

The Serie A side are said to be looking to move on the 21-year-old, with the club valuing the Swedish international at €30million (£25million).

The Gunners may have a better chance of landing the youngster too, with clubs such as PSG, Bayern Munich and Manchester City all cooling their interest in the winger.

Vlahovic valuation drop

Arsenal could pick up Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic for a cut valuation in the summer, according to Corriere Della Sera.

The Italian side are looking for €70million(£60million) to let the youngster leave in January, but if they fail to do so, then they will ask for €40million (£34million) in June.

The Serbia international has impressed in what has been a breakout year for the youngster and with his contract up in 2023, and a refusal to sign a new one, a number of clubs are eyeing a move.

The report claims that Arsenal are amongst those interested, with Bayern Munich, PSG, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Manchester City and Tottenham all named too.

Balogun drawing interest

Arsenal youngster Folarin Balogun is drawing interest from a number of clubs for a loan move, reports the Sun.

The 20-year-old became the highest scorer in Premier League 2 history when he bagged a hat-trick in the under-23s 5-3 loss to Derby County in the week, dominating the youth levels.

Now, there are claims that he needs senior minutes. Among the teams interested in a loan move in January are Bournemouth, Swansea, Middlesbrough and Saint-Etienne – who Arsenal have a relationship with having bought William Saliba from the Ligue 1 side before sending him back on loan for another year.
