Leyton Orient vs Tottenham live: Kick-off time, team news, how to watch and score updates

2 Orient

Hello and welcome to live coverage of Tottenham’s first pre-season friendly ahead of the 2021/22 season as they make the short trip to Leyton Orient.

Almost two months on from the team’s 4-2 win at Leicester City on the final day of the Premier League campaign to secure a European spot, we aren’t that far away from the new term with the team having been back at Hotspur Way for the past two weeks.

The friendly at The Breyer Group Stadium will see Nuno Espirito Santo take charge of the team for the very first time this afternoon following his appointment in place of Jose Mourinho.

The new Spurs boss has a number of options to choose from in today’s friendly but he will be without the likes of Harry Kane, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Hugo Lloris and Giovani Lo Celso following their participation in the major tournaments this summer.

Likely to go for a mixture of youth and experience in his side as he assesses his squad, a number of the club’s talented academy players could well be given minutes against the League Two outfit.

Our Tottenham correspondents Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest are covering the match with all the action from inside the stadium and reaction from the supporters and media.

Scroll down for all of our latest updates from the The Breyer Group Stadium.
