Team news

Lille: Renato Sanches will miss out injured but Benjamin Andre should return from illness.

Chelsea: Ben Chilwell is out but Cesar Azpilicueta should return while Reece James and Callum Hudson-Odoi are expected to miss out.

Lille: Two wins and a draw since their first-leg loss in London has pushed Jocelyn Gourvennec’s men up to the cusp of the European places in Ligue 1 and they should be able to push that form forward if they drop out of Europe here, as expected. Advancing would be huge, but Sanches’ untimely injury is already testing squad depth and Les Dogues will need minimal distractions to ensure that they remain on the continental stage next season.

Chelsea: Aside from their EFL Cup final loss on penalties to Liverpool, Thomas Tuchel’s men have been keeping it together since the news of their impending sale broke with three consecutive Premier League wins to sit third in the table. There is, however, a messy situation with Middlesbrough developing ahead of this weekend’s FA Cup clash.

Look for LOSC to give it a good go but the defending champions to come out on top. Had the Blues looked a bit wobbly, an upset might have been on the cards. Instead, Tuchel and his players should march on. Pick: Lille 1, Chelsea 2.
