Liverpool have been handed a huge boost ahead of this weekend’s game with Arsenal as three key players returned to training.

Jordan Henderson, Sadio Mane and James Milner were all spotted in training on Tuesday ahead of the weekend visit of the Gunners.

Henderson trained away from the group, according to our sister title the Liverpool Echo, having been released from the England squad over the weekend after suffering a minor issue following the 5-0 World Cup qualifying win over Albania at Wembley last Friday.

Sadio Mane injured his rib with Senegal and looked like he could face a spell on the sidelines. However, he was back in training with Liverpool today (Tuesday).

Last night, left-back Andy Robertson became the third Liverpool player to potentially pick up an injury in less than seven days after he had to be replaced for Scotland as they beat Denmark.

However, he will likely be the only one to miss out of the aforementioned.

Liverpool have been boosted this season by the emergence of Kostas Tsimikas, who has been performed at a high level in place of Robertson.

On the injury front for Jurgen Klopp’s men, however, Naby Keita, Curtis Jones and Roberto Firmino all remain out – while Harvey Elliott was another player who returned to training today, working away from the group similarly to Henderson.

Arsenal head to Anfield as the most in-form team in the league – being unbeaten since August, while Liverpool come in off the back of a loss to West Ham after drawing to Brighton.
