Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford delivers two-word verdict on Arsenal’s £100m star

Marcus Rashford has delivered his verdict on Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka.

On Monday evening the Manchester United forward decided to hold a Q&A session on Twitter after it was confirmed that he – and Saka – will not feature in England’s World Cup qualifier against Poland, at Wembley, on Wednesday.

Unsurprisingly, there were a lot of Man United-related questions for Rashford to answer, but topics such as his favourite Bundesliga player and cricketer were also covered.

As was his thoughts on Saka, who has been key for Arsenal this season, scoring six and assisting seven across all competitions, the third most goal involvements across Mikel Arteta ‘s squad, behind only Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Twitter user @elijah_ayomide asked: “What do you have to say about Saka?

To which Rashford replied with a two-word verdict: “Great talent.”

Rashford’s verdict on Saka comes after the Arsenal wonderkid’s true worth to the club has been revealed.

As per CIES Football Observatory’s astonishing transfer values, the 19-year-old’s valuation has emerged in recent weeks – and it is estimated to be between £100million and £130million.

And that makes up for more than 20% of the value of the whole Arsenal squad, which is currently valued at £532million, with the Gunners behind Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Tottenham when it comes to the overall value of squads in the Premier League.

As mentioned above, injury has kept Saka out of England’s international games during the break and it is not yet clear if he will be available in time to play against Liverpool when Arsenal make their Premier League return on Saturday.

However, the Gunners will be able to call on the services of Martin Odegaard, as things stand, after the 22-year-old’s own injury scare.

The Real Madrid loanee limped off with an ankle injury during Norway’s 3-0 victory over Gibraltar last Wednesday night, but returned to action against Turkey a few days later.
