Mason Mount and Declan Rice link-up excites Chelsea fans amid transfer rumours

England duo Mason Mount and Declan Rice have been filmed showing off their great Basketball skills, as they both enjoy some well-deserved time off after Euro 2020 exploits.

Both players were central to the Three Lions’ run to the final, where they eventually lost on penalties to Roberto Mancini’s Italy side.

With the dust now settled on the Wembley heartbreak, the majority of England players are on holiday enjoying some downtime before they return to pre-season with their respective clubs ahead of the 2021/22 season.

The likes of Luke Shaw, Kyle Walker, Mount, and Rice have been filmed together enjoying their personal time off on the Greek Island of Mykonos.

On what looks like a private yacht that would have been hired out by the Three Lions players, childhood friends Mount and Rice have showcased their basketball skills, with the exceptional link-up and understanding they have with each other

The replies to the Instagram post on the Rising Ballers account are full of Chelsea fans praying this will be the link-up they see on the pitch next season between the two in a Blues jersey.

@moneymase.10 said: ‘Best friendship ever. Love them.’

@shuhanrasika replied: ‘I want their friendship to be enhanced at the Bridge next season.’

@cutestmount commented: ‘Best friendship on earth and nobody can change my mind.’

@masevsp stated: ‘We need to see this chemistry and bromance at Chelse next season.’

But first, the west Londoners have the daunting task at hand of agreeing on a fee with fellow London club West Ham for the signing of the 22-year-old.

football.london understands that the Hammers’ stance on the situation is that their midfielder is not for sale this summer.

This won’t deter the Blues off testing the water though. If they are unsuccessful in their attempts to sign the England defensive midfielder this summer, it is also understood that Thomas Tuchel’s side will turn their attentions to highly rated Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni as they look to add extra depth to their Champions League winning squad.

Undoubtedly, the blossoming friendship between the Mount and Rice has been one that has grown from a young age, with both being quoted in the past saying, ‘we’re always together. They call us Dumb and Dumber’.

It remains to be seen whether they will be together at Stamford Bridge next season.
