The summer transfer window is still a few months away from opening, but Arsenal have already begun making moves.
As first reported by football.london, the Gunners’ squad planning for the summer transfer window is underway, with several players having uncertainties over their futures at the club.
Among those is midfielder Lucas Torreira who is currently on loan at La Liga giants Atletico Madrid and there is already talk of his permanent departure.
The Sun have recently claimed that the Uruguay international is one of the nine first-team players who could be sold in a cost-cutting mission and reports from Gazzetta dello Sport stated that Fiorentina are ‘well ahead’ in talks and that the midfielder has already given Arsenal the ‘green light’ to complete the transfer.
Another player who looks set to be on the way out at the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season is Alexandre Lacazette and football.london understands the Gunners will sell for the right price.
Hector Bellerin has been heavily linked with an exit this summer and football.london understands Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey is one of several right-backs Arsenal are looking at.
As first reported by Mirror Football in December, the former Chelsea defender has been earmarked as a potential successor to Bellerin and his progress in the Premier League this season has been tracked by the club.
In addition to the Torreira, Lacazette, Bellerin, and Lamptey rumours, the Gunners are also being linked with a new centre-forward and central defender.
According to the Transfer Window podcast, the north London outfit have made a solid enquiry for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard who is expected to move on in the summer when he will only have a year remaining on his contract with the Scottish giants.
Furthermore, it is claimed that Celtic have named their price for the France U21 international and it is €25million (£21.6m).

The latest name on the Gunners’ shortlist is RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate.
As per the Evening Standard, Arsenal are one of several clubs across Europe interested in signing the 21-year-old who could be available this summer.
Having offloaded Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis in January, the report states that Arteta could lose several more central defenders in the summer amid talk of David Luiz, Calum Chambers, and Dinos Mavropanos all leaving.
That would leave Gabriel Magalhaes, Rob Holding, Pablo Mari, and William Saliba as the Spaniard’s potential centre-back options for next season and it would appear he wants to increase competition for places with the signing of Konate.
