Arsenal legend Tony Adams believes his former club should consider selling both of their current right-backs.
Starting right-back Hector Bellerin has been linked with a move back to Barcelona ahead of this summer with Mikel Arteta reportedly promising the defender a conversation about his future ahead of next season.
Reports last week claimed Bellerin agreed to stay at the Emirates Stadium for this season with the agreement that Arteta would discuss his future again after the current campaign.
That does not necessarily mean the Spaniard will leave this summer, but it means Arsenal will need to consider their options, and former defender Adams believes they should be doing just that regardless.
“If you’re bringing players in who are a lesser standard – you don’t get someone that’s less than what you’ve got,” he told Stadium Astro. “Cedric, is he better than Bellerin? Have you made an improvement there? Take it or leave it.
“Or are you telling me we need two? Get rid of two and get a good one! That would be the opinion that I would have.
“You always bring in players better than the ones you have got or don’t bring them to the club.”

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Brighton right-back Tariq Lamptey recently, suggesting they could be drawing up potential replacements for Bellerin ahead of the summer.
Though, having only signed Soares on a permanent deal last year, it seems unlikely they would part ways with the Portugal international this summer, particularly given he has proved to be a sturdy deputy for Bellerin of late.
