Nicolas Pepe drops major Arsenal line-up vs Manchester United hint amid Bukayo Saka doubt

Nicolas Pepe may have dropped a hint on his social media account that he will start for Arsenal against Manchester United tonight.

The Gunners have enjoyed some fine form in recent weeks, winning nine of their last 12 games across all competitions – losing just once in the process.

Mikel Arteta‘s side have risen up the Premier League table in that time, finding themselves just one point behind fourth-placed West Ham United, with a game in hand on the Hammers.

That game in hand is against Manchester United, who currently are five points behind the north London outfit ahead of the Old Trafford clash.

However, the north London outfit could be without starlet Bukayo Saka, with the Hale End academy graduate limping off at the weekend during the 2-0 win against Newcastle United.

Now, Pepe has potentially dropped a hint that he could take Saka’s place in the team, taking to Instagram, posting a picture of him alongside club-captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Ivorian international hasn’t started a league game since a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace back in October, sparking plenty of rumours that he could look to depart the Emirates Stadium in the coming weeks.

However, last week Arsenal boss Arteta confirmed that Pepe will not be leaving in the January transfer window.

“No, and it is not the moment to talk about that either”, the Spaniard said when asked if the former Lille winger could be sold in the New Year.

“We are interested in Nico performing at the level that he can do.

“He had some really good moments since I have been here, some moments where he hasn’t participated that much, like everybody else.”
